For a few years now I have been using an amazing online service that allows me to send high quality greeting cards through the mail for about $1.06 …  including postage! Seriously.

These are actual physical greeting cards (not e-cards) in a real envelope with a real stamp. I can even write my own message in my own handwriting , use my own signature, and add my own pictures.  I can do it all at any time day or night in just a few minutes without having to drive to the store to pick out a card. Then make sure I have stamps. Then get it to a  mail box. It’s really so simple and so easy it’s almost unbelievable. But it’s all true. And I can send a card right when I think about it … not jot down a note and hope to remember to go to the store later to buy a card. Right away!

Think about not only how good it feels to send someone an unexpected card; but also how it feels to receive an actual card in the mail. How happy you are when you look through the mail and see an envelope from a friend addressed to you. Think about the impact this has on our lives. You as the sender feel great because you just brightened someone’s day and told them you were thinking about them. And the receiver smiles and feels all warm and fuzzy because someone cared about him/her enough to send a little note. It can literally change that person’s day. How can that not feel great?!?!

Now, look at the back of some cards you have around the house. Check out the cost. Here are some I have at home: $2.59; $3.99; $3.19; $2.99; $1.99.  Add that cost to the cost of your time to go get the cards plus the cost of gas to get there. Now multiply that by how many cards you send in a year. And take it one step further to think about how many cards you would like to send in a year. What does THAT mean?

The average card sender sends about 1 card per month. But he/she actually has need to send about 6 cards per month. Birthdays, anniversaries, thank you cards, get well, great job, thinking of you, I love you, holidays … I could go on …

Imagine sending all your holiday cards in under 5 minutes with the click of a button. Really. And that card could include one or more pictures that you, yourself, took and a message that you personally wrote, with your actual signatures.
