Protect Your Skin and Your Health
While it is good to protect yourself from getting a sunburn, it is important to pick the right sunscreen so you are not rubbing too many horrible chemicals all over your body. A little bit of unprotected sun exposed isn’t bad (5-15 minutes per day depending on your skin type). It’s overexposure that’s the problem. That’s when you need sunblock. But how do you choose? Which ones protect? Which ones have harmful chemicals?

Definitely keep an eye on the ingredients on the back of any sunscreen that you pickup at the store. Most people are label readers these days right? If you don’t instinctively turn over the product and check out what is in it, then definitely take on that practice right away!

James,
Thanks for you post. I think most people are label reads today. But I think the vast majority of people still have no idea how sunscreen works and think it is all safe. Hopefully more and more people will become aware about what is really in their skin care products.
Hope to see you back here soon.
